We are apporaching one of the major sports event of the year! Sunday, February 5th will be night of The Super Bowl 2012 - the 46th edition of this tournament! The game is quite anticipated as it will be a rematch of the Super Bowl from 2008. All of you who follow American Football know what happened then. It was probably the biggest shocker that has occurred in the history of The Super Bowl. The Patriots had the chance to put an incredible record by wining all the their games in the regular season, the playoffs but then dramatically lost at the Super Bowl to The Giants. Lots of people, even New England fans, think that that invicible run was quite unnecessary if thery were to lose the Super Bowl.

Now, 4 years later the teams of Tom Brady and Eli Manning will clash again and The Pats have their big chance to pay their rivals from New York back!

Plenty of bars in Rome will be showing the game but The Highlander Pub will definitely secure the most authentic atmosphere - we are experts at that!

The Super Bowl starts at half past midnight! Highlander will transmit the whole game but if you are planning watch the game seated we will have limted spots. The capacity of Highlander is for about 100 people from whom 60 can count on  the seats.

Those of you who would like to have seats need to reserve and show up at the pub by 9:30 pm! If you don't care about a seat you can reserve and still come to the bar by 11 pm. After that hour we cannot guarantee you the access to HIghlander - whether you have booked or not!

Consider that the action will start around 9 pm when we will launch our Happy Hour! 15 Euro will secure you all the beer & wine you can drink for 1 hour from around 9 pm until 10 pm. 15 Euro includes a special edtition Highlander Super Bowl 2012 t-shirt. Signing up for the Open Bar gets you all the pizza you can eat in the hour as well! So, by coming early and doing the open bar you can just skip dinner!

Those of you who are planning to come later and won't be doing the OPEN BAR can rely on our yummy pub food - we have the best burgers, sandwiches and hot dogs in town!

We will be launching our SPECIAL EDITION SUPER BOWL BEER PONG TOURNAMENT as soon as we complete the Happy Hour! So, that will be probably shortly after 10 pm. We take up to 16 teams of 2 players each 32 players total, with direct elimination - 8 1/8th finals, 4 quarter finals, 2 semi finals and then the grand final! Special Edition Beer Pong Champion T-shirts and other Grand prizes for the winners!

Bear in mind that Highlander gets packed around 11 pm and at that point we will probaby cease the access to the bar - for those reserved and NOT reserved.

The atmosphere is at Highlander is quite spectacular whether you are American or not! At least in the last couple of years things almost out of control. (The videos and the photos from the past Super Bowl events are on our website but they simply don't do justice).
